In our Technology Center students have access to a broad spectrum of resources for their educational needs and to encourage reading and learning for special interests,
academic enrichment and enjoyment.
Four distinct classrooms are contained in this state of the art facility:
Media Center
Our media center encompasses more than 9,000 volumes, periodicals and reference materials, as well as three computers with access to web-based reference materials. All library books have been leveled according to the Accelerated Reader Program. At Our Lady of Lourdes we have built a reading culture throughout the school and made reading practice more effective for every student using Accelerated Reader quizzes and STAR reading evaluations.

Innovations Lab
The Innovations Lab is the collaboration space for students and teachers. It consists of 5 workstations for students and teachers to round-table discussions and projects. Each station has a large panel display connected to a computer and an interactive whiteboard for whole group collaboration.
Computer Lab
The Technology Lab is a state-of-the-art lab outfitted with 30 multimedia computers for student use with Laser Printer. An interactive whiteboard is used to help teach several visually engaging programs. Each student computer is connect to the internet to use web-based programs in addition to local software to target all grade levels. Students learn mouse skills, touch-typing, WORD Processing, PowerPoint Presentations, EXCEL database. All students learn basic coding using blocks and JavaScript. 3rd-8th Grade have school issued e-mail addresses allowing them to access Office365 and Microsoft Office online products such as WORD, PowerPoint and Excel. The school has 65 chromebooks for checkout to each classroom and students have Google accounts to work digitally with teachers and peers.
Science Lab
The Science Lab utilizes the science station concept with 7 science stations accommodating 4 students each. The teacher has an interactive whiteboard and Ladibug Document Camera, which provides clear magnification. The lab is well equipped with a 7-head teaching scope, stereoscopes, microscopes, precision balances, dissecting kits, alcohol burners, DC millimeters and glassware. The objective of the lab is to provide each student with significant hands-on experience in experimentation and experience the scientific method of discovery learning. Students can expect to conduct experiments appropriate to their course of study at least once per chapter.
Engineering Lab
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is reaching new heights through the use of technology. The school has a new Engineering Laboratory, which features 3D printers, robotics, and a host of other technologies for hands–on learning. We also incorporate STREAM in every grade level with hands on lessons and activites using all our labs and our outdoor and indoor gardens.
