Accreditation.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is a member of the Diocese of Orlando. All Diocese of Orlando members are accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference (FCC) and are members of the National Catholic Education Association. In 2020, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School became the 1st fully recognized accredited STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Math) school by the Florida Catholic Conference for the Diocese of Orlando. In addition, OLL earned accreditation for the Early Education Program.

Curriculum.

Our curriculum follows the standards of the Diocese of Orlando and the State of Florida. Pre-Kindergarten (three and four year olds) and Kindergarten are housed in our Child Development Center. Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are self-contained. Grades Sixth through Eighth are departmentalized, with students changing rooms for their classes.

Our Lady of Lourdes School is staffed by well qualified administrators and teachers. Our teachers are required to meet the standards of the Florida Catholic Conference and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Regularly scheduled Art, Music, Spanish, Technology, Media and Physical Education classes supplement and enhance the academic program. Teachers are certified through the State of Florida and participate in the state professional development program which requires recertification every 5 years.

Standardized Testing.

All students in grades 2nd through 8th take the TERRA NOVA Standardized tests, which issued by both public and private schools throughout the country. This test provides comprehensive accountability information and diagnostic information. The TERRA NOVA Standardized tests provide teachers and schools with information regarding students’ achievement status, growth and specific areas of relative strength with areas for improvement. Test scores throughout the Diocese reflect the excellent academic program that students are provided.
