The involvement of parents is a key element of any school’s success. Service given to the school helps all the children and keeps our costs down. Our Lady of Lourdes requires all families to give 25 hours of service per year. The children and school benefit immeasurably from the extra attention and programs provided by our wonderfully dedicated volunteers. There are many opportunities to volunteer. Below is a list of just some of the ways to volunteer. Get involved and enjoy being a part of OLL!
(For the protection of all, a background check including fingerprinting is done for all volunteers and coaches. All Volunteer Chaperones must be 21 years of age or older. For more information, click here.)
Service hours are a great way to be involved. OLL requires all families to give 25 hours of service per school year. 10 of each family’s service hours must be fundraising hours. Each family is required to track and report their hours to the Home and School Association. Hours can be reported at any time to Home & School VP or by filling out the following reporting FORM. There are many opportunities to volunteer. Listed are some of the ways to volunteer and an explanation of how many hours can be earned. Please contact your room parent or any Home & School officer for additional details or clarification.
(All volunteer drivers are required to submit, at least two weeks in advance of the field trip, a copy of a valid Driver’s license and proof of insurance with
coverage of $100M/300M/50M as required by the Diocese. In addition, a background and fingerprinting check must be on file. NOTE: *If parents, guardians, or other adults transport their own children, relatives, or other children in the school to a field trip, athletic event or co-curricular activity, and they are using their own vehicle or a vehicle that is not owned by the school or the Diocese of Orlando, they are doing so on their own and not as an agent of the school
and the school is not responsible.)
