Our Technology Center.

Welcome to OLL’s Technology center!

In our Technology Center students have access to a broad spectrum of resources for their educational needs and to encourage reading and learning for special interests, academic enrichment, and enjoyment. Four distinct and modern classrooms are contained in this state of the art facility.

Media Center.

Our media center encompasses more than 9,000 volumes, periodicals and reference materials, as well as three computers with access to web-based reference materials. All library books have been leveled according to the Accelerated Reader Program. At Our Lady of Lourdes we have built a reading culture throughout the school and made reading practice more effective for every student using Accelerated Reader quizzes and STAR reading evaluations.

Innovation Lab.

The Innovations Lab is the collaboration space for students and teachers. It consists of 5 workstations for students and teachers to round-table discussions and projects. Each station has a large panel display connected to a computer and an interactive whiteboard for whole group collaboration.

Science Lab.

The Science Lab utilizes the science station concept with 7 science stations accommodating 4 students each. The teacher has an interactive whiteboard and Ladibug Document Camera, which provides clear magnification. The lab is well equipped with a 7-head teaching scope, stereoscopes, microscopes, precision balances, dissecting kits, alcohol burners, DC millimeters and glassware. The objective of the lab is to provide each student with significant hands-on experience in experimentation and experience the scientific method of discovery learning. Students can expect to conduct experiments appropriate to their course of study at least once per chapter.

Engineering Lab.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is reaching new heights through the use of technology. The school has a new Engineering Laboratory, which features 3D printers, robotics, and a host of other technologies for hands–on learning. We also incorporate STREAM in every grade level with hands on lessons and activites using all our labs and our outdoor and indoor gardens.
