Providing your child with a catholic education is a tremendous gift and takes
financial sacrifices. With that said, we want you to be aware of several scholarship and financial aid opportunities that may assist you in reaching your goal of a
Catholic education for your child(ren):
Step Up for Students Scholarship
The scholarship is available to all income-eligible students who are entering grades K-8, no matter where they attended school the previous year. Step Up for Students, an income-based Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program, is an innovative program that provides K-12 education scholarships for qualifying low-income students. The scholarship gives low-income parents the opportunity to choose the K-12 school that best meets their children's needs. For the 2016-2017 school year, Step Up will be awarding scholarships worth approximately $5,644 for private school tuition. To see if you qualify and how to apply visit http://www.stepupforstudents.org.
Personal Learning Scholarship Account (PLSA)
The PLSA is a scholarship that is currently available to students ages 3-22 with the following diagnoses: autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Spina Bifida, Williams syndrome or Intellectual Disability (severe cognitive impairment) or Kindergartners who are deemed "high -risk" due to developmental delays. The scholarship amount varies, but the average amount for most students is approximately $10,000. For more information visit http://www.stepupforstudents.org/special-needs-scholarship/plsa.
The John M. McKay Scholarship Program is a school choice program that allows students with learning differences or disabilities (who have received Individualized Educational Plans (IEP’s) through the public school system), to attend a private school as an option. The scholarship often equals the full in-parish tuition of the private school. For further information, please visit
